Q:  What makes you so different from Other Steak Companies on the Internet?
A:  Remember, most all of our products are prepared by our well-trained Hitching Post         
      Chefs and arrive to your door ready to heat and serve. That means every item is            
      Basted and Seasoned the Hitching Post way and Bar-B-Qued over a California Red Oak
      Flame! No one has to know how to
cook in order to enjoy our meals. Our Process is        
      this: Simply place your pouch in boiling water for the time alloted, and dinner is served!   
      If you can
boil water, you can make a great dinner in minutes.

Q:  You use the word BBQ. Does this mean that it's been smoked or has red sticky sauce?
A:  Actually, here on the Central Coast Of California, BBQ has always meant grilling over     
      an open fire of red oak.  We use our traditional Hitching Post Baste and Seasoning to     
      add the perfect gourmet flavor.  But, for those die hards that MUST have sauce we         
      offer our own tasty BBQ sauce.

Q:  Are your steaks aged?
A:  Yes our steaks are aged 21 days and then hand trimmed by our Hitching Post chefs, a   
      specialty craft that we have carried on for generations.

Q:  Is there a difference in quality between fresh steak versus one that has been frozen?
A:  There is extensive research showing that flash freezing a steak preserves the flavor &    
       longevity of the steaks life.  Although a fresh steak is nice, it won't last very long, and in
       fact, most chefs cannot tell the difference.

Q:  Can I ship anywhere in the world?
A:  At this time, we offer shipment here in the United States. Call for shipping to Alaska or     
      Hawaii.

Q:  When my package arrives, do I need to freeze the meals or refrigerate them?
A:  You simply place all of the items that come to you in the freezer and keep them frozen   
      until use.  There is
NO THAWING REQUIRED.  From freezer to plate in under 20            
      minutes.

Q:  Does Hitching Post Products provide cooking instructions?
A:  Yes!  Each package is shipped with cooking instructions.  However, it is good to              
       remember that we ship all meals to you already prepared and you only need to know     
       how to boil water to heat and serve.

Q:  Do we have to cook food (boil the bag) longer if we are in a higher altitude.  
A:  YES.  About 3-5 minutes longer.

Q:  Can I buy a Gift Card on your site to eat at the original Hitching Post Restaurant in          
      Casmalia?
A:  No.  Actually you have to go to www.hitchingpost1.com and buy them at the main             
      restaurant site.  You will leave this site.

Q:  What methods of payment do you accept?
A:  We accept all major credit cards.  Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.
